# Sam Brilleman's PhD

Sam’s doing his PhD at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, titled “Joint longitudinal and time-to-event models for applications in health research”. His main supervisor is Professor Rory Wolfe, and I’m one of his co-supervisors. Sam did his MSc in Medical Statistics at Leicester a few years ago and I co-supervised his dissertation on joint modelling. His project was published in Stats in Med and can be found here.

One of Sam’s main projects has been developing Bayesian joint modelling methodology, and in particular, incorporating it into the rstanarm package.

He’s also recently translated my survsim Stata package into R, which is available on CRAN as the simsurv package.

His GitHub page can be found here.
